Scientific American and user generated video
August 26, 2007
Continuing the science and video meme, Jackie Floyd at Element List has a post on Scientific American possibly accepting user generated video. She asks why someone would post video to Scientific American, since they do not guarantee upload and attribution. As someone who has wrestled with the same question, I’d like to say that given the language that Jackie points to, general science video’s would be better suited to be hosted at other locations, e.g. YouTube. More specific video’s can be hosted on other relevant scientific video websites, which seem to be growing faster than one can say “SciVee”.
