Experiments in bbgm land

One of the legacies of a blog that is now almost 4 years old is a lot of stuff that is difficult to change. For one, I experimented with a move to Squarespace, an experiment that didn’t work. I am really busy these days and figured that I didn’t want to deal with blog administration. Unfortunately, thanks to the legacy, the move would have required a lot of work to get things properly moved over, and that required time I didn’t have, so wordpress lives to see another day.

The other change is in the category section of the blog. For one, the theme I am using is a magazine style theme and expects thumbnails. Secondly, I got this bright idea, one I should have had 4 years ago, but my brain is a little slow. The idea that the categories for bbgm should be business, bytes, genes, and molecules. Of course, the existing categories didn’t quite fit into the new ones, so some of the older posts might look out of place from a category perspective.

That’s it. Hopefully, now that the blog isn’t going anywhere till I get ants in my pants again, more blog posts and less backend stuff.
