Two more down

One of the best parts about having a traveling job is being able to meet people I consider friends, even though I might never have met them in person. Today I got to meet two people I’ve wanted to meet, one an old timer in the bioinformatics blogosphere and a long time favorite, the other my favorite blogger these days. Yep, I can now remove Pedro and Shirley from my “people I’d love to meet” list. We’ve built a great community online and being able to spend some time with some of the smartest people out there is always a great experience. Thanks folks for taking some time off (and waiting while my plane was delayed).

I met them at the BioBarCamp. It was so busy & frenzied and I met so many other people. Getting to know them both better through FriendFeed.
