New platforms = cool stuff

Andrew Perry joins the rank of biogeeks leveraging the various platforms in the cloud. He has announced the release of ResolveRef, which is essentially a RESTful way of querying PubMed. ResolveRef has been built on top of Google’s AppEngine

It’s good to see these kinds of projects, and I suspect this is hardly the last of what we’ll see.

I'd like to have a good brainstorming session with the community to come up with some App Engine ideas. At the moment I'm still at the “there must be something cool I can do with that stage”. Oh yeah and the “must learn Python” stage, though that's just a case of a few manuals and tutorials, hopefully.

    Should blog about this soon.
