Microsoft is serious about the cloud too

Dan Reed is joining my neighbors in Redmond (I live on the same side of Lake Washington some miles south). Like many others, I know Reed from his days as head honcho at NCSA.

My initial instinct was that Dan would focus on CCS, but a post on his blog indicates that he will be working in the cloud.

I must say Microsoft has made some interesting hires lately. People I admire and respect.

On a semi-related note, there is a decent amount of Twittering from SC07. I am tracking “sc07″ on Twitter, and following the really extensive commentary from roguepuppet
