Around the web – October 21, 2007

Life continues to be a mix of lots of work, light hearted geekiness, computer installations, and a total lack of time.

This week I started playing with Seesmic, a new venture from Loic Le Meur. Seesmic, still in very early alpha, is best described, at this time, as a video version of Twitter and in fact connects to your Twitter and Skype accounts. Should be fun playing around with it and seeing it evolve (check out a screenshot of Seesmic as of this afternoon).

One of the directions I see bbgm going is to increasingly incorporate video and audio into my posts. Over the next few weeks is to move my podcast away from its current home and incorporate it into bbgm (the exact specifics are a little shaky). Lets see how it goes. So far the video experiment has been enough of a success to want to keep trying it.

Note that on Kyte.tv, you can interact via text-based IM, audio or video
(just click on “livechat”)

Moving away from video, over at TechBizMedia, I ruminated on the possibility of Yahoo acquiring Automattic

… and last, but certainly not the least, over at the Bioscreencast blog, I wrote about all the cool new galaxy videos now available on Bioscreencast.com
