Second Life’s performance has really improved. I was on a cafe wifi connection this morning, but suffered no issues during the Scifoo Lives On session this morning. Today’s session was on Definitions of Open Science and featured such notable presenters as Jean-Claude Bradley, Richard Akerman and Bill Hooker. I could only stay for 45 minutes but got to hear most of the talks (missed the end of Bill’s talk). Berci was doing some live blogging.
I must say that I agree a lot with what Richard Akerman had to say. More on that thought later.
You can probably still see the posters on Second Nature

Pedro was there too

Yes, the posters will be left there on an ongoing basis. There are bells on many of the posters in case visitors want to summon the presenters.

They should let us have our names instead of those nicks if we wished too. Next time I will know your nick. I am not sure I will attend the next one since I will be away in a conference but I can try.

Pedro,
Yes the insistence on the use of pseudonyms (at least last names) on Second Life is odd and often confusing. I’ll try to put both names whenever they come up as presenters on the wiki (if you see any that I missed please feel free to update)
